Intressant, pratade direkt med Taittinger och de sa inom någon månad eller så. Såg att de sålde den för 895 NOK på gardermoen. Tips till Bubblaren då som ju skulle till Norge
Following on from an array of magnificent releases from the 2002 Champagne vintage, we are delighted to be able to offer this new release from Taitttinger which will be rated this evening when Parkers wine advocate is released.
This outstanding champagne was produced in the cellars of the thirteenth century Saint-Nicaise Abbey in Reims . The greatest care is taken at every stage of production. "Comtes de Champagne" is only produced when all the conditions, essential to its unique style, are met, the harvest must be of exceptional quality and worthy of vintage champagne. It is made exclusively from white Chardonnay grapes from the most renowned vineyards of Avize, Le Mesnil sur Oger, Oger and Chouilly. Only wines from the first pressing (La Cuvée) are used. This guarantees the wine's finesse. 5% of the wines used in the blend are aged in new oak barrels (one third of which are replaced every year), thus enhancing the intrinsic qualities of the final blend. . whilst allowing parts to become fully integrated. .
The 2002 Vintage – Rated as 4 stars by Mr Juhlin = an Exceptional Vintage
The star at Taittinger is the Comtes de Champagne...”the best in its style with its soft, exotic and creamy taste. It is the Champagne that contains an aromatic spectrum that is exciting enough for (everyone) to fall head-over-heels for its beauty” – Richard Juhlin www.champagneclub.com
2002 Comtes de Champagne – case 6 bottles – GBP 447 a case IB
The most striking and complete of the four vintages I tasted (2000, 2002, 2004, 2005). The 2002 is a magnificent CdC layered with sumptuous fruit. It boasts stunning depth and an endless, haunting finish. A very short crop for Taittinger. I imagine the 2002 will disappear from the market as soon as people taste it. The 2002 CdC was one of the most remarkable wines I tasted during the week I spent in Champagne in March. If you like CdC, this is a must-have vintage. No score published.
